Jobs & Volunteering

The Peel relies on volunteers to provide services such as an older people’s social club and a code club for children and young people.

Volunteering is also a great way to meet new people and get new skills.

If you are interested in volunteering with us you can access our volunteering policy here and can find our volunteer application form here.

Volunteering opportunities

Code Club

Code Club provides everything you need to volunteer at a free Code Club for 9 - 13 year olds, which could take place at a school, library, or community venue in your local area.

You don’t need to be a coding genius to volunteer, you just need to be willing to learn some basic Scratch, Python, or HTML alongside your club. In fact, using our projects with young people is a great way for you to learn new skills whilst inspiring the next generation of coders and digital makers.

Essential info for volunteers:

  • Commit for a minimum of 12 weeks

  • Spend 1 hour per week, usually after school

  • Help out around 15 young people aged 9-13

  • Volunteer solo, or team up with friends or colleagues and take turns

  • A club host will be there at the venue to support you

Please contact our Child Care Co-ordinator on or 07919 447074
